Your new role
1. HR Strategy & Organizational Development
• Develop and implement an HR framework aligned with both local and global company goals.
• Establish HR policies, procedures, and employee handbooks, ensuring compliance with Portuguese labor laws.
• Design and implement a structured hiring, onboarding, and offboarding process.
• Develop performance management systems and career development plans.
• Work closely with headquarters in Israel to ensure HR alignment across locations.
• Manage organizational complexity, working with cross-border teams and adapting to multinational corporate structures.
2. Recruitment & Talent Acquisition
• Develop an effective recruitment strategy to support rapid expansion.
• Lead end-to-end recruitment, from job posting to interviews and final selection.
• Build an employer brand that attracts top talent.
• Implement a smooth onboarding experience to integrate new hires efficiently.
3. Employee Relations & Workplace Culture
• Foster a positive, collaborative company culture across all locations.
• Serve as a trusted advisor for employees and leadership.
• Address employee grievances, conflict resolution, and HR-related concerns.
• Organize team-building activities and engagement programs.
• Conduct regular visits to Coimbra and Aveiro to maintain strong workforce relations.
4. Compliance & Legal
• Ensure full compliance with Portuguese labor laws and employment regulations.
• Maintain HR records, payroll compliance, benefits administration, and leave policies.
• Work with headquarters in Israel to align legal and compliance practices.
5. Performance Management & Training
• Develop and implement a performance evaluation system.
• Identify training and development needs to upskill employees.
• Establish career progression pathways and succession planning strategies.
What you need to succeed
• 5+ years of HR experience, ideally in a multinational or complex organizational structure.
• Strong knowledge of Portuguese labor laws and ability to work within an international company structure
• Proven experience in building HR departments from scratch.
• Ability to manage both high-level HR strategy and day-to-day HR operations
• Strong skills in recruitment, employee relations, and compliance.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills.
• Ability to report to both local and international management, ensuring transparency and alignment.
• Willingness to travel regularly to Coimbra and Aveiro.
• Experience with HR systems and tools is a plus.
• Fluency in Portuguese and English is required.
