AR work is characterised by its detailed and complex nature in order to systematically combine existing knowledge and practices to further developing and incrementally improving products, operational processes, and customer-specific feature development.
Subfamily Description
Information Design (IFD) comprises the design, planning, coordination, writing, and illustrating of technical customer documentation and user guides in R&D product and system programmes. Contains planning, developing, writing, and editing of operational and maintenance information about products, systems, and solutions. These appear as web-based publications for internal and external users; sometimes including Graphical User Interfaces (GUIs) and various forms of multi-media.
How You Will Contribute And What You Will Learn
As a member of the Technical Documentation organization, you will create user documentation for the planning, implementation, operation, and maintenance of Nokia network products, which are foundational to 3G, 4G, 5G, and future networks. Our professional teams of Technical Communication Specialists design and develop innovative documentation solutions that optimize user assistance, enhance customer experience, and add value to our products.
As a technical writer with strong command of the English language and excellent writing skills, your technical understanding and information gathering abilities will be invaluable as you collaborate with subject matter experts to develop documentation for software products.
You will leverage your technical background and/or product knowledge to drive the redesign of user documentation, focusing on both structural and content improvements to ensure content is accurate and user-centric.
Skills
KEY SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
* Bachelor's or Master's degree, preferably in Electrical Engineering, Information Technology, Telecommunications, or English Language and Literature.
* Over 5 years of relevant experience in Technical Communication.
* Exceptional English language proficiency, both verbal and written.
* Strong understanding of customer needs and requirements.
* Proactive and self-motivated, with the ability to meet tight deadlines and work independently as well as in local and global (virtual) teams.
* Experience or capability in managing/coordinating complex projects.
* Ability to comprehend overall business objectives and align them with your personal tasks and responsibilities.
* Effective information gathering skills.
* Keen interest in technology.
Preferred skills:
* Relevant experience with R&D, System Verification, Services & Care, New Product Introduction (NPI), and Portfolio Management.
* Experience with DITA/topic-based writing and information design.
* Expertise in creating rich media and interactive user documentation.
* Background in software testing.
