The Head of Finance is responsible for overseeing Accounting, Controlling, and Treasury, ensuring financial integrity, liquidity management, and risk mitigation. This role includes managing the consolidated accounting system, ensuring regulatory compliance, overseeing financial reporting, and leading tax administration and financial statement preparation.
In Accounting, the Head oversees the accounting system and tax administration of the bank, ensuring the correctness and timely deliver of reports to the banking supervisory authority and tax authorities, and administrates all tax issues and ensure timely payments and preparation of the tax declaration, monitoring legal and regulatory developments from an accounting point of view and ensures timely updates of policy and procedures accordingly.
In Controlling, the Head oversees financial planning and analysis, budget management, resource allocation, and performance tracking through KPIs and variance analysis, providing strategic insights to optimize costs and profitability, as well as ensuring daily/monthly/quarterly reporting of costs and performance figures and analytics (including actual/planned comparison and forecasts)..
In Treasury, the Head proactively develops and executes the Treasury strategy, ensuring efficient cash and liquidity management, risk mitigation, and oversight of liquidity, currency positions, interest rates, and loan pricing, with execution support from an external provider.
As a strategic leader, the Head of Finance ensures cross-departmental alignment, drives continuous improvement, and maintains compliance with financial regulations.
