Job Title: Plant Cost Analyst

About the Role:
The Plant Cost Analyst will play a critical role in achieving cost competitiveness objectives by providing impactful recommendations based on insightful financial perspectives.
Main Responsibilities:
* Drive Impactful Cost Improvements:
o Calculate and monitor activity prices (hourly rates).
o Manage overheads, analyze and maintain allocation rates.
o Monitor and analyze absorption gaps of direct and indirect manufacturing costs.
o Weighted average price monitoring and analysis.
o Proposal strength on various cost reduction opportunities.
* Develop Insights and Provide Information to Understand Our Cost Landscape:
o Implement and maintain direct production costs tracking table.
o Implement and maintain overhead costs tracking table.
o Value stocks and work in progress, set up dashboards to monitor deviations.
o Prepare and analyze plant investment opportunities ROI, support CAPEX reporting.
o Process quarterly reconciliation between goods receipts (GR) and invoiced entries (IR).
o Analysis and resolution of quantity differences between invoices and system actuals.
o Collaborate in monthly and annual closings, as well as in reporting.
o Ensure compliance with accounting & costing standards.
o Assist plant management team in understanding plant costs.
* Provide Foresight & Coordinate Planning:
o Participate in budget & forecast process, OPEX and CAPEX parts.
o In charge of definition and monitoring of standard costs, calculation and analysis of production gaps.
* Strengthen Cost Controls & Processes:
o Implementation of process improvement and monitoring.
o Participation in different projects.
o Give support to the group cost analysis team.
Requirements:
* Cost analysis experience of 5-10 years in technological, industrial or FMCG environment.
* Excellent understanding of supply chain with knowledge of major ERP, SAP being a plus.
* Expert Excel user, familiar with BI tools.
* Fluent in English (C1 level required) and Portuguese, oral French is a plus.
* Desire to work in fast-paced, high-growth environment.
* Excellent analytical skills, very comfortable with figures.
