This is a Hybrid Porto-based opportunity - 3x per week at home.
As a Senior Application Support Engineer, you will work for our client – a leader in the financial industry, exemplifying innovation, agility, and unwavering commitment to its clients. You will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation and maintenance of critical Business Intelligence applications, providing expert-level support, and driving automation initiatives to enhance system performance and reliability.
Your main responsibilities:
1. Provide technical support for Business Intelligence applications, ensuring their smooth operation.
2. Monitor and maintain Linux servers for the applications, handling performance issues and troubleshooting.
3. Develop and maintain scripts using Shell scripting and Python to automate tasks and improve application processes.
4. Collaborate with the DevOps team to ensure seamless integration and deployment of updates.
5. Investigate and resolve issues related to data processing and reporting in Business Intelligence tools (e.g., Cognos).
You’re ideal for the role if you have:
1. 5+ years of experience in application support and DevOps.
2. Proficiency in Linux, Shell scripting, and Python.
3. Fluency in English (French is a plus).
4. Experience with PL/SQL is a plus.
5. Familiarity with Business Intelligence tools like Cognos is a plus.
