The Position
We are hiring a Senior Embedded Software Engineer to join the R&D team in India or Porto, Portugal, with potential for growth into a team lead role.
Your Responsibilities
1. Develop real-time and high-throughput data software applications for the global R&D department.
2. Work on HBM Genesis High Speed, LanXi, and Fusion products, supporting diverse applications across sectors like Automotive, Electric Drives & Generator, Aerospace, Energy/High-Voltage, Material Testing, and Service.
3. Design software, implement code, and test systems in collaboration with hardware and testing teams.
Key Tasks:
* Create new embedded software functionality for x86 (Linux and Windows), ARM, and DSP platforms interacting with FPGA logic.
* Develop unit tests for new functionality and extend existing tests covering existing functionality.
* Contribute to and maintain the function domain technology roadmap.
* Create technical documentation, including specifications and manuals.
* Stay informed about the latest developments in the function domain.
Requirements
* 5-7 years of experience in similar roles, with 4 years of experience in embedded software development.
* Bachelor's or master's degree in Electrical, Electronics, Communication, Instrumentation, Computer Science, or Information Technology.
* Demonstrable experience in object-oriented programming languages (C++ and C# is a plus).
* Knowledge of Agile methodology and Scrum master role.
* Leading others and knowledge of Jira and Confluence would be advantageous.
Personal Qualities
* Attention to detail, thoroughness, and clear communication skills.
* Able to work independently or under instruction.
* Fluent in written and oral English, with Dutch, German, Danish, and/or Portuguese being a plus.
