Following a recent strategic expansion into Portugal, they are looking for an experienced Key Account Manager to spearhead growth in the Iberian market.
Description
As the Key Account Manager, you will take charge of building and expanding the company's presence in Portugal and Spain. Your role will focus on managing existing accounts and driving new business development across the region. Key customers include furniture manufacturers, resellers, distributors, and kit manufacturers in the education sector.
1. Revenue Growth: Develop and execute strategies to increase sales.
2. Account Management: Maintain current sales levels while growing existing relationships.
3. Business Development: Identify and close new sales opportunities, ensuring a robust sales pipeline.
4. Market Insights: Act as a trusted advisor, leveraging knowledge of the education sector and public tender processes.
5. Collaboration: Partner with internal teams (e.g., product development, marketing) to deliver tailored solutions to customers.
6. Travel: Domestic and EU/UK travel regularly for client meetings, exhibitions, and company events.
Profile
1. Sales Expertise: 3-5+ years of experience in B2B sales, ideally within the education sector or related fields.
2. Language Proficiency: Fluent in Portuguese and Spanish with a good level of English.
3. Public Tender Knowledge: Familiarity with the public tendering process in Portugal and/or Spain.
4. Communication Skills: Ability to articulate value propositions, negotiate terms, and foster long-term relationships.
5. Analytical Mindset: Proficient in data analysis and CRM tools (e.g., SAP) to make informed decisions.
6. Adaptability: Capable of pivoting strategies based on industry trends and client needs.
7. Entrepreneurial Spirit: A proactive approach to identifying and seizing new business opportunities.
