At the end of the 1980s, we extended ours beyond the Middle East and acquired land in Portugal for the construction of a sterile factory for injectable pharmaceutical products. This was an important turning point for the company, and our first step into a new region. Today, in Portugal, we have more than 900 employees and 3 factories for the production of injectable medicines.
Hikma, intends to recruit a Supervisor, Packaging (m/f) to integrate Packaging Department, on-site work.
Main Responsibilities:
1. Provides oversight regarding all department activities including washing, inspection, labelling and packaging
2. Monitors the process to ensure that operations are performed accurately and in compliance with relevant cGMPs and SOPs
3. Ensures that no interruptions take place in the packaging processes as a result of personnel, supply materials, and/or equipment shortages or interruptions issues
4. Manages the department equipment, requests and stock control of consumables
5. Generates and follow up the daily / weekly packaging plans in coordination with other departments, and reports on daily packaging events to management
6. Creates updates and reviews written procedures (SOP's)
7. Reviews labelling & packaging master batch records and respective BOM's and related documentation such as change controls
8. Conducts and reviews packaging investigations and protocols
9. Manages the staff in the Packaging department, recruits new staff
10. Conducts the performance evaluations of staff performance in conjunction with the HR department and Manager
11. Reviews, approves and keep track of personnel related data and documentation such as absence records
12. Conducts training sessions and quality circles when necessary
13. Ensures that company policies and strategies are conveyed to all packaging personnel and encourages them to remain motivated
Profile:
14. Degree in Chemistry, Engineering or Technical Science (Preferred)
15. Availability to work shifts
16. Knowledge and understanding of how to conduct work in a packaging environment
17. 2-4 years of professional experience preferably in regulated manufacturing environment
18. Training and technical coaching
19. Written and oral communication
20. Computer skills including Word and Excel
21. Intermediate level of English
