The Manager, Inside Sales Development is responsible for promoting and expanding the Firm’s capabilities in Innovation Funding services. This role involves engaging clients and prospects in a consultative manner to deliver customized solutions, expanding and cross-selling within client relationships, and researching, initiating, and developing new business relationships. Additionally, this position involves building, leading, and mentoring a high-performing inside sales team to achieve and exceed sales targets.
Duties and responsibilities, as they align to Ryan’s Key Results
1. Proactively identify and qualify prospects through targeted inside sales strategies, emphasizing Innovation Funding solutions.
2. Conduct effective cold calls, maintain continuous communication via phone, email, and mail, and schedule virtual or in-person meetings to present and discuss our Innovation Funding services.
3. Cultivate and nurture client relationships to deepen understanding of their needs and challenges, positioning our services as tailored solutions.
4. Coordinate closely with Principals and Practice Leaders to align sales efforts and conduct joint-selling activities, leveraging their expertise and relationships.
5. Utilize CRM tools and online resources to conduct thorough prospect research, identify opportunities, and maintain accurate records of interactions and progress.
6. Attend relevant conferences and networking events to generate leads, stay abreast of industry trends, and contribute to the firm’s visibility in the Innovation Funding sector.
7. Assist in promotional events, provide feedback on marketing materials, and contribute to the development of proposals and presentations.
8. Stay updated on industry developments and the competitive landscape related to Innovation Funding services, ensuring informed client conversations and effective sales pitches.
9. Prepare and deliver compelling presentations, proposals, and engagement letters to facilitate successful deal closures and client commitments.
10. Build and lead a high performing inside sales team, providing guidance, training, and mentorship to achieve individual and team sales goals.
11. Monitor team performance, provide regular feedback, and conduct performance evaluations to foster a culture of continuous improvement and success.
Education and Experience:
12. Bachelor’s or master’s degree preferred, with 3-5 years of experience in sales or business development, particularly in financial services or consultancy.
Computer Skills:
13. To perform this job successfully, an individual must have basic skills in Microsoft® Excel and Access, intermediate skills in Microsoft® Outlook, and advanced skills in Microsoft® Word, CRM, and Internet navigation and research.
Certificates and Licenses:
14. A valid driver’s license is required.
