Purpose
The person with this role will serve as the main point of contact for support, administration, and maintenance of Web and Middleware infrastructure and associated dependencies.
1. Perform day-to-day support, administration, and maintenance of the infrastructure.
2. Lead infrastructure changes and implementation.
3. Technical Implementation lead for application projects.
4. Central contact for international projects during the T&T phase.
5. Creating concept for Infrastructure and application migration projects.
6. Technical implementation of application and databases.
7. Definition of Service Requests in the context of applications and databases.
Responsibilities
1. Working knowledge about Linux or Windows Server (knowledge in both is preferred).
2. Basic knowledge about web and common application server and modern 3 Tier Java-Application.
3. Knowledge about Middleware applications like JBoss App Server, Tomcat, or WebSphere.
4. Experience in Database Administration (Oracle DB and/or MSSQL and/or PostgreSQL/FEP).
5. Understanding LDAP, network, and certificates.
6. Understanding of infrastructure relationships regarding complex application setups (VLAN, Storage, Firewall, Backup, Monitoring, Hardening).
7. Experience in Hybrid Infrastructure environments (Azure, AWS and on-prem or HCI) is beneficial.
8. Extensive experience in planning and implementing applications in a Managed Service Provider environment.
9. Communicational skills internally and externally.
10. Coordination skills to steer internal infrastructure teams.
11. Experience in ITIL processes.
12. Open to look beyond borders.
13. Self-motivated with the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
14. Proactivity, open-minded, and willing to learn.
15. Analytical skills.
16. Communicative in English, German is beneficial (not a must) due to direct customer contact.
