For more information, visit www.ptw.com.About the roleThe Game Quality Assurance (GQA) Lead is responsible for managing the testing team, overseeing hiring, training, performance evaluations, and administrative tasks such as timesheets and hardware needs. They define and implement comprehensive testing strategies, create and maintain detailed test plans, and ensure proper execution of testing activities, including defect tracking and resolution. Additionally, they communicate testing results to stakeholders and ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.Key Responsibilities:Managing and leading the testing team, which includes hiring, training, and performance evaluations.Administrating the team, ensuring timesheets are accurate and hardware needs are met.Defining and implementing a comprehensive testing strategy and testing process for software development projects.Creating and maintaining detailed project test plans, test cases, and test scripts, ensuring proper documentation and communication to the testing team.Conducting testing activities, including Blackbox manual testing, and ensuring proper execution and documentation.Managing the defect tracking and resolution process, ensuring timely prioritization and resolution of defects.Communicating testing results and issues to project stakeholders, including project managers, developers, and senior management, and providing recommendations for improvement.Ensuring compliance of testing processes and methodologies with relevant industry standards and regulations.RequirementsSecondary or higher education, preferably with a diploma in an IT-related field.Proficiency in English (B2-C1 level) and strong skills in database management.Passion for gaming with a solid understanding of Microsoft Suite, JIRA, and experience with computer, console, and mobile games/applications.Ability to collaborate effectively with stakeholders such as developers, product managers, and business analysts.Strong communication skills for managing diverse teams and ensuring clear, effective interaction.Capable of managing resources and timelines to meet project deadlines.Keen attention to detail, with strong problem-solving skills to troubleshoot issues, identify root causes, and implement solutions.What we offer:Working for the pre-eminent global provider of specialist services to the games industry, with full training and the opportunity to work on major game clients, titles, projects, and tech.Attractive remuneration, holidays, regular team competitions with great prizes, and inclusion into an extensive social calendar.
