Job Title: Merchandiser
Job Summary
The Merchandiser is responsible for executing Category directives globally. This role serves as a liaison among Brand Product Development team, US Sourcing team and in-country offices, managing seasonal developments and key communications.
Key Responsibilities
1. Product & Fabric Development
* Work with Brand PD team and US Sourcing team on all development details
* Allocate right product/fabric with right vendor/mill at right cost
* Establish Time & Action Calendar for each program
* Evaluate and monitor the performance of vendor base
* Troubleshoot production and delivery problems
1. Sourcing
* Source new products/vendors via trade shows or available resources
* Understand capabilities of our vendors
* Risk mitigation in supporting Brands business
* Prepare monthly status reporting to Brand Sourcing
Competencies & Experiences
* Knowledge:
* Minimum 2 years of regional sourcing and product development
* Basic knowledge of manufacturing process in textile & apparel or home furnishing products
* Skills:
* Proficiency in MS Office, Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Word
* Multitasking in fast-paced environment
* Analytical and problem-solving skills
* Good interpersonal and communication skills

* Meticulous, detail oriented with high accuracy working on large volume of data
* Fast learner with initiative and independence
* Professionally fluent in English in writing and speaking
