You will be part of a new team in MN RAN R&D BBSoC Unit responsible for developing assigned piece of SW to meet the expected Definition of Done for Cloud RAN applications. We are looking for a skilled software engineer. You would be working with specifying, designing, implementing and testing software.
HOW YOU WILL CONTRIBUTE AND WHAT YOU WILL LEARN
As a SW Engineer in new BBSoC RCP SW team, your role would include:
* Implementation of the features and ensuring successful integration of software components within own domain based on product backlogs and specifications
* Planning and organizing the work as part of global SW development teams
* Creating and maintaining the platform, DevOps, enabling continuous integration
* Testing (unit, component, and integration)
* Ensure target SW/HW meets quality criteria via execution of test cases, reporting discovered faults and supporting/driving faults correction deliveries
* Contribute to definition of Testable Requirements
* Test Cases / Plans and Test Instructions
* Prepare RCA/EDA for issues escaping in own area
* Drive Quality improvement actions in own area
* Ensure compliancy to all R&D tools & processes in day-to-day work
* Interface adaptation, testing and troubleshooting tool development (python), build time optimization, maintaining good SW practices
* Assessing software quality and developing test tools to increase test effectiveness and efficiency
* Proposing and participating internal improvement projects, initiatives and task forces if needed
* Contributing to evolution of internal processes with target for continuous efficiency increase of development teams
* Feature implementation (C/C++ and/or modern languages)
* Code optimization
Although a combination of Cellular system knowledge, Cloud computing & infrastructure knowledge as well as software development is highly appreciated, we encourage you to apply if you have good skills, knowledge, and interest in any of the areas mentioned above. KEY SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
* You have experience in SW development/ Testing
* You understand the significance of good SW practices for high quality SW
* You have strong experience in C++, Golang or Python: development and testing
* Experience of LINUX
We also appreciate the following:
* You know the benefits of agile SW development and Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery practices
* You have strong experience in Golang/C/C++/Python: development and testing
* Experience of scripting/coding with one or more languages (such as Python)
* Understanding of the cloud runtime environments
* Understanding of Telecommunication architecture and requirements (E.g., 5G Radio Network)
* Knowledge of open-source software
* Knowledge of platform services and real-time systems
* Understanding of version control tools, such as git, gitlab and gerrit
